- Jake is a former airline mechanic with over 25 years experience in the motorcycle industry. His background in the airline industry allows him to incorporate some unique aircraft styles and techniques into his bike building. He will ensure you know how to correctly troubleshoot problems with your bike, not just throw parts at the problem and spend money uselessly. Jake started his 1st shop in Chicago, IL in his garage. He currently owns and operates a state-of-the-art custom motorcycle facility in Lake County, Illinois. The shop is able to handle everything from machining and wiring, to fabrication of parts.
- Mike "CTA" Drobena has over 25 years of experience building motorcycles. He recognized the need for a course for new and experienced riders alike. Many new riders and aspiring mechanics make costly mistakes or end up at a shop where having the knowledge taught in the course could have saved them hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars. Mike is an experienced electrician with all the skills needed for any troubleshooting.
- Ron Grecias also has over 25 years of experience building and maintaining motorcycles. His extensive knowledge of older bikes and rebuilding engines rounds out a team of instructors that can show you things that a textbook will never cover. Their experience and hundreds of bikes built will benefit you during the class and long after.
The course will be held at Best Cycle Service in Beach Park, Illinois. The shop has been owned and operated by Jake for over 10 years. You will find all of the latest equipment needed for the bike building process (Dynometer, flow bench, and the latest tools/tech manuals) with over 5000 square feet, the facility is a bike builders dream.
