   This course will be held at a state of the art custom motorcycle and machining facility in Northern IL. We house all of the latest equipment for your bike building needs. The facility is a bike builders dream; some of our equipment includes a Dyno, flow bench, as well as up to date technical tools for the bike building process. Designated Chicagoland Hotels, with special student rates, are available. Lunch will be provided every day. Local transportation is also available, call for details. The 3 day course is over a weekend and the curriculum is as follows:

Three Day Class: $895

Specialty Tools Introduction: We will explain the basic tools, all specialty equipment and all necessary equipment you will need to build your bike.
Parts Full Parts Explanation: The economics of the bike building. All types of frames front-end primary chains belts; all components, trans, engine, wheels and all other parts associated with building process.
Front End Mock-up Stage: Hands on installing front end, preliminary wheel alignment and forward controls.
Drive Train Trans, Engine, Primary Priliminary Alignment: Hands on install of the larger components as well as teaching the right way to line them up and the correct way to space the trans. Aligning the rear wheel and installing the starter.
Rake and Trail Rake and Trail: Explaining how rake and trail is determined.
Brake System Brake systems: Teaching about all different brake systems and proper install and alignment.
Electrical Electrical Components: This part of the course will go through all of the different systems on a bike. Charging system, ignition and starting. The main electrical system. Soldering shrink wrap, crimp connectors wiring through frame, handle bar switchers and wiring. Showing techniques for a clean and secure wiring job.
Oil Lines Oil Tanks and Oil Lines: Tanks, oil line roughting, coolers, and oil filters.
Sheet Metal Sheet Metal: We will go through different types and applications for your specific needs. Spacing reinforcing, fabricating, and proper install and techniques. This is a Q & A section.
Welding Welding Program: Hands on course of study to take you through the basics of welding, tig and mig, plasma cutters, as well as explain the tools and equipment.
Final Assembly Final Assembly of Bike: Hands on putting the last of the components together; all cables, misc components, seat and seat pans.
Final Build Final Build: Making all necessary adjustments. Fine tuning carb, clutch, and discussing powder coating and other finishes.

2 day Motor Class: ($495) All tools for this class will be provided by our instructors. This is a smaller course that really breaks down the engine building process. This advanced course was formed to meet the demand of many of our past students.

Motorcycle Building Workshop

*Prerequisite: Motorcycle Bldg Class
Students bring own project bike in for mock up help. Changing different major components, forks, wheels, ect. Please talk to your class instructor for more information.
 

Motor Workshop

*Prerequisite: Motor Class
Perform motor work and tasks on your own motor such as cam change, push rod adjustments, etc. Please talk to your class instructor for more information.
 

Maintenance Workshop

Students perform routine maintenance to ther bike. 5,000 and 10,000 mile checks. Check tires and brake changes, You get the self satisfacton of doing the job yourself and saving 100's of dollars as well as convenient scheduling.
 
Chopper Tech Workshops are designed to be 1 on 1 instruction. Our 1 day workshops are available for students who take and complete there desired class. Upon completion of the class our students are then given the option to scheduale a workshop with one of our instructors, which will then allow the student to bring in there own bike and have guided help through the process of working on their project. Proper tools, lift and instructor will be provided for the day. Prices vary, and will depend on the intensity of the project. Please see your instructor after class for a quote.
